About Me!

Hey there! I’m Ian Sugg, a passionate and dedicated hacker, engineer, mathematician and enthusiast. I hold a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science from Arizona State University, specializing in Cybersecurity with my journey further backed by industry recognized certifications from (ISC)² and CompTIA.
I thrive in the ever-changing and exciting world of Cybersecurity, where I bring a robust breadth of knowledge. My experience includes everything from learning Java, python, and different programming paradigms, to developing, deploying, and detecting malware in my homelab. I have been obsessed with computers since I first learned about the language Java through the videogame Minecraft, a natural starting point for many hackers. Since then, I have strived to master every facet of the discipline.
Beyond just Computer Science, I’m an avid car enthusiast, and metalhead. I love JDM and European tuner cars, and the history and culture behind them. I am a huge BMW and Toyota fan! I also enjoy thrash metal, bands like Metallica, and Slayer. If I’m not hacking something new, I’m probably at a car meet, or in the mosh pit!
Here you can check out my portfolio of personal projects and resume! While there is a heavy focus on my cybersecurity career, and the experiments done in my homelab, additionally included is an explanation of my coursework at ASU, videogames made since high school, and interactive data visualizations.
